Types of emergencies we respond to:

* Fires
* Medical calls
* Hazardous material spills & leaks
* Traffic accidents
* Law enforcement assists
* Natural disasters - including wind damage, flooding, snow storms, etc.
* General service calls - including changing batteries in smoke detectors, lift assist, etc

 

OPERATIONS DIVISION

Fire helmets

The Cimarron Hills Fire Department operates under the direction of the Fire Chief through the supervision of the Operations Captain. The Department is staffed 24 hours a day with a minimum of three highly trained personnel who respond to a variety of incidents within its community and outside its community through mutual aid agreements.

All full time personnel are certified at a minimum of EMT-Basic with IV authorization. Each shift also has at least one Advanced Life Support (ALS) provider who is certified at  EMT-Intermediate or higher. Cimarron Hills Fire Department operates under Dr. Gifford of Memorial Health System for medical direction using the El Paso County EMS Protocols

Personnel are assigned to one of three rotating shifts using a Modified-Kelly schedule, which is three 24-hours shifts out of five days followed by four days off. To view the schedule, click here.
