HOME SAFETY
CHFD often responds to people's homes for either medical calls or service calls. However, most people are not aware that we can also provide home owners and renters a safety walk-thru of their residence. These are not code inspections but rather a way of making your home a safe place to live for you and your family. The links on the right side of this page provide many safety tips regarding home safety.
We can't help you if we can't find you! Making your address numbers visible helps CHFD find you in the event of an emergency. According to the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department's Regional Building Code (RBC) Section 312.11, address numbers are the responsibility of the property owner and should be a minimum of 5" in height with no less than 1/2" stroke width as to be plainly visible and legible from a distance of 100 feet.
