PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT - TRENCH RESCUE & ROADWAY SAFETY UPDATE
Trench Rescue & Roadway Safety Update – 1207 Kachina Drive
Earlier today, firefighters from Cimarron Hills and Colorado Springs Fire Departments responded to a trench emergency at a residential site on Kachina Drive.
Crews worked with contractors to safely stabilize and backfill the trench. Due to wet soil conditions, the required 95% compaction for the roadway could not be met today.
The trench has been temporarily filled, and heavy equipment is parked on-site overnight to maintain safety and deter access. Contractors will return in the morning to complete compaction and reopen the roadway for local traffic.
Please avoid the area until work is completed and the site is cleared for public use.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to ensure safety for all residents.
