RED FLAG WARNING ISSUED
From Monday, March 17 at 3:18 AM MDT until Tuesday, March 18 at 8:00 PM
Unseasonably warm temperatures, low humidity, and high winds are creating critical fire weather conditions in Cimarron Hills and the surrounding areas.
- WINDS: Southwest 30 to 40 mph, with gusts up to 65 mph (strongest winds expected Tuesday)
- HUMIDITY: As low as 7%
EXTREME FIRE DANGER EXPECTED 🔥
Officials warn that even a small spark could rapidly escalate into a dangerous wildfire, threatening lives, homes, and natural areas. Despite recent cold weather, dry vegetation and strong winds significantly increase the wildfire risk.
