The Pikes Peak Fire Chiefs Council, representing all 27 fire departments in El Paso County, is urging Governor Polis to VETO SB26-184.

Fire service leaders across our region have serious concerns about the long-term impacts this legislation could have on firefighter cancer coverage, workers’ compensation delays, rising insurance costs, and the future sustainability of fire districts across Colorado.

This issue impacts firefighters, emergency medical professionals, and ultimately every Colorado taxpayer.
